Rudraksha and be kept in view while testing them. Rudraksh is a tree of medium height and is found in Nepal, Asamand Shri Lanka. Its leaves are 3 to 6 inches long. White flowers are found on this tree. Its fruit known as Rudraksh is to one inch diameter and inside it is found Rudraksh. In English this tree is named as, “Utrasum bead tree” and in Latin it is called “Elaeocarpus Ganitrus Roxb.”
1. When rudraksh is put in a glass full of water will dip and will NOT float. In case it is made of wood or is infected with insect will float on the water.
2. In case a rippend rudraksh is closed in a fist and when taken near the ear and moved will emit a pleasant slow sound.
3. If a rudraksh is placed between two Copper Coins, it will move when pressed.
4. The rudraksh is round raised at places, hard and of rough surface. Each piece has naturally carved lines, which are called FACES of rudraksh.
5. In a natural rudraksh, you will find a shine and a
greasiness which appears after its continuous use by wearing
and using it as rosary.
6. A few rudraksh have eyes like that of a coconut and are near arrived lines. Three eyed Rudraksh is attributed to Lord SHIVA, which helps in early attainment of Siddhi.
7. Rudraksh has alway rough surface and not thorny. Thorny surfaced Rudraksh is artificial.
8. Rudraksh of smaller size is always held in high esteem than bigger size. Smaller size is more effective. 9. The natural rudraksh has no hole in it, these are made
latter on. The piece, which has hole in a natural way is most auspicious.
10. In natural rudraksh, the lines are not equidistant, but in an artificial one, these are found carved at equidistant.
