Color therapy is different from conventional ultraviolet light phototherapy, which is used to treat high bilirubin blood levels in infants and skin disorders such as acne or psoriasis. Light therapy is used to treat seasonal affective disorder. Light therapy does work for some people who have Seasonal Affective Disorder however, when not administered professionally the bright light can cause eye injuries and if strobe lights are used it may cause seizures.
